The Olympic Torch Relay is only ten days away from Sutton! Everyone here at Nonsuch Mansion is very excited, are you?

Here are some useful links if you are planning to watch the Torch Relay in Sutton. It is Day 66 of the relay and the day’s route takes the torch from Lewisham to Wandsworth.

A total of 23 torch bearers will carry the torch during its two-hour journey through Sutton. Here are some of them…

* Dean Parsons – AFC Wimbledon’s Haydon the Womble!
* Jan Willem Rösingh – a Dutchman whose grandfather won gold for rowing at the London 1924 Olympics
* John Dawson – a very, very inspirational local man
* Klaus Daiminger – hard working German paramedic read
* Lauren Sullivan – teenage, gold medal winning swimmer and Sutton disabled sportsperson of the year 2011
* Venetia Palmer – a young woman who has transformed her own life and other peoples
* Viktor Ikie – marathon runner extraordinaire with RNIB

* David Hegarty – charity fundraiser
* David Barrett – charity fundraiser
* Deirdre Kimbell – fit and sporty grandmother
* Fenner Austin – Up Rising Programme and True Volunteer foundation
* Guy Watts – landscaper and founder of Streetscape
