The Nonsuch Big Band in the Park is one of the longest running and most anticipated events in the Nonsuch Park calendar.

Organised by Nonsuch Rotary and The Friends of Nonsuch, it sees the lawns and gardens of Nonsuch Mansion packed with people enjoying a little summer sunshine, a drop of chilled fizz and a lot of irresistible music.

The organisers are delighted to be welcoming back the popular Jay Craig (regular guest on BBC Radio 2’s Big Band Special) and his Orchestra.  “We loved Jay Craig’s orchestra and the great numbers he played”  and ” What a super evening; we’ll be back next year”  were typical of the many favourable comments heard last year, says David Hagger of Nonsuch Rotary adding, ” it was good to see so many people letting their hair down and jiving as the evening progressed”.

As is tradition, a share of the  proceedings from the event will be donated to a local charity. This year they will help the Sutton Guardian’s ‘Operation Butterfly’ campaign for a Cancer Information and Support Centre at St Helier Hospital Sutton. You can read more about this important campaign by clicking on the butterfly below.

A wonderful evening, a wonderful cause.

Tickets are £14 in advance and available from the “Nonsuch Big Band in the Park” Box Office on 01372 741028 or visit www.nonsuchrotary.org.
