A trip down memory lane- Jenny & James

Posted by Nonsuch Mansion

Looking back through summer 2016.. gosh we had a blast! We are very fond our 2016 couples & the memories they created at Nonsuch. Especially Jenny & James who tied the knot on Saturday 11th June 2016. It was a great pleasure working with this fabulous couple as they were so relaxed throughout the whole lead up to their special day.

 Their story began…

Jenny and her Bridesmaids got ready at their lovely home in Wimbledon, full of laughs and Champagne. The boys were ready early and raring to go.. calls for a quick stop at The Crooked Billet for a swig of beer to really get the celebrations started.

The beautiful service was held at the Christ Church in West Wimbledon with some cheers, tears & I dos. Two traditional buses collected their guests and carried them to Nonsuch Mansion where the reception, dinner and partying took place.

“A good marriage must be created.
In the marriage, the little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once each day,
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and objectives.
It is standing together and facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each person can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right person
It is being the right partner.”

As guests made their way to the Mansion, our team were eagerly waiting to congratulate the couple with a glass of fizz. As guests mingled over yummy canapés amongst the perfect British sunshine, the couple stepped away from the surrounding excitement.

Simon Biffen is absolutely brilliant at capturing real emotion as Simon says “Give a couple a pose and they feel awkward, give them a game to play, a memory to cherish, a dream to share and they lose themselves in the moment entirely.”

These two didn’t stop smiling all day!

Jenny & James returned to the house where photos continued and a whisper call took place.

The styling in the Orchid Room was fresh, crisp and luxurious, everyone was stunned on how delightful the room looked. The couple went for elegant white & blue flower arrangements which created a classic look throughout.

A delicious and seasonal three course meal was served.

Starter: Butternut squash and pine nut ravioli with a sage cream

Main:  Roast baby poussin with fresh asparagus stuffing, lemon risotto with fine  French beans and tarragon jus

Dessert: Strawberries & cream

Speeches & cake cutting…

As the day uncovers and dusk sets in, the house begins to transform into the perfect partying space.

Our fantastic band, The Hares kick off the night, let the partying commence!

BUT first… the special moment-  first dance as newlyweds.

As you can see from these AMAZING photographs, everyone had the best day!

Once again, Congratulations Jenny & James King!
