Have your heard about our Tasting Evenings?

Posted by Nonsuch Mansion

Couples who book with us are invited to join us inside the mansion at an exclusive evening in the season of their booked date. These are always very exclusive events, only fifteen couples at any time. This is their opportunity to see the mansion full of life, full of people and, most importantly, to taste our food.

The aim of the tasting night is to inspire our couples with food. They enjoy a prosecco reception with canapes before taking their seats at their very own “table for two” and being served a feast : three starters, three mains and three desserts. This specially designed, seasonal menu is designed both to be delicious but to help them to decide on their own wedding day menu.

Julie Gray, Bovingdons Director, offers advice and tips from her 25 years and over one thousand weddings worth of experience.

“Although they have already booked their date, for many couples our Tasting Evenings are the first time they experience the mansion in full flow and full of guests. The Tasting Evenings always have a always a fabulous atmosphere, everyone leaves with plenty to think and talk about. There are always plenty of surprises, for example those who would never think of serving fish go away considering a fish main course, those who were previously “not that bothered about” dessert go away raving about it. I suppose it also feels like a dress rehearsal, everyone leave with a certainty that “it will be alright on the night”. I like to think Nonsuch Mansion couples get the best wedding-eve night’s sleep!”

Here are a few quotes from the tremendous feedback we received at our Spring 2013 Tasting Evening..

Here are a few quotes from the tremendous feedback we received at our Spring 2013 Tasting Evening..

“Thanks so much for last night – the food on the day will be amazing if last night is anything to go by!”

“Just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely evening. We both had great fun. C especially loved it and enjoyed it so much that he is still going on about the passion fruity wine which complemented the passion fruit panacotta so beautifully, according to him. For me, it was also great to experience it from the guests’ point of view and get a real feel of the atmosphere– in fact I  think feel less stressed about how to make our wedding extra special now.

“Thanks for such an amazing night – the food was wonderful…”

“Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the tasting, the food was delicious and we are very happy with our menu options…

“A quick email to you and the team to say thank you for hosting the tasting on Tuesday evening. It has helped to get us focused on the food…”

“M and I had a lovely time last night, I’m still full from all of the gorgeous food!

“We both had a lovely time last week at the food tasting dinner. The selection of food is impressive and everything tasted great unlike most weddings I’ve been to…

“Thanks. We really enjoyed getting a taster (literally) of the food for the wedding…

And here is a copy of that night’s menu…
