Completely Perfect: one of our favourite thank you letters ever

Posted by Nonsuch Mansion

The thank you letters we receive from parents and parent-in-laws are amoungst some of our favourite thank you letters. This one made us feel particularly warm and fuzzy. It’s a lovely reminder of why we love our jobs and has made us feel so very proud of what we do.

Mrs L, it was truly our pleasure.

Dear Sir/Madam

I wanted to write to express my sincere thanks to Nonsuch and all those that helped make my daughter A and her husband L’s (wedding day) completely perfect!

From our first visit and contact with Lucy till the time we left the Mansion on their wonderful day we have been bowled over by the professional, friendly and impeccable service.

A had a list of six venues to see and we came upon Nonsuch by chance. As it wasn’t in the initial running for her wedding venue we casually paid a visit and were captivated.

Lucy was relaxed and made us feel comfortable, she avoided the hard sell which most people hate, because it can feel more about the business and not the client, but we felt she was confident and believed in what she was presenting.  We left feeling excited in the venue and in no doubt that the company could give A a special day. There was no need to experience any other venue after that visit but we chose just one (the one where A thought her big day would be) to compare, we discovered it didn’t even come close.

The two things in the early stages that were important to us and eased any anxiety were, foremost, Lucy who listened and got to know us in order to help us constructively with our preparations and suppliers and secondly with a venue like Nonsuch it didn’t matter whatever the weather threw at us on the day the mansion could provide the perfect space.  Obviously over the 10 months of planning and the more we visited, which was never a problem for Lucy and Jade, we got to know all the other delights the place and setting has to offer.

Throughout we have felt that the principles of Nonsuch are to help their clients get all they desire and nothing is too much trouble.  Once we had our preferred supplies Lucy took on the organisation of the day, leaving the weeks before hand less stressful. I can truly say that we have never experience better service anywhere.

And speaking to many who have, are or going through the preparations of celebrating marriage their frustrations are venues that hard sell and have limitations on what can be achieved. Avoiding this made A feel special and important throughout the whole process.

To summarise the feedback from guest:

– Amazing building…perfect space for a wedding. Large enough to accommodate a large number of people but felt homely and intermate, different rooms for different needs, attractive and tasteful decor with an unusual mix of old with new.

– Some of the best food they have tasted and certainly the best of any wedding.

– Friendly non assuming staff, whose efficiency and hard work behind the scene allowed the day to run smoothly.

– The recommended suppliers were perfect for the occasion:

* Blue Topaz attractive well presented string quartet who gave a great atmosphere to the beginning of the day and throughout the ceremony.

* James Taylor a talented musician who entertained guest during the reception drinks with a good voice and variety of songs. Many guest approached him with their appreciation.

* Steven Boys a DJ who knows how to get a party started and keeps it going. We have already given his details out.

* Michelle Rust whose creativity as a florist meant she was able to work with and compliment the Mansion.

* EffectEvent highlighted the Mansions exquisiteness.

* Say Fromage the most fun in bringing people together and helped make the evening reception one to remember.

* Cakes by Krishanthi the beautiful design and taste of the cake have been a talking point.

* John Harris a videographer whose relaxed, discreet  approach allowed the wedding party the freedom to enjoy the day knowing they could reflect on the event captured  by his ability to record all the little easily missed details along with reliving the main ones. We are thrilled with the taster video available within days that left may viewers emotional. The overall reaction of the guest were they didn’t even realise the day was being recorded.

* Lloyd Dobbie was professional from the very first contact. Amy had meet with a few photographers before him and knew as soon as they met he was the one to put her at ease. His understanding of what she wanted and their connection in humour didn’t let her down on the day. She felt his subtle causal direction help in making her and Lee feel comfortable in front of the camera, getting the most from them.

Kind Regards

Mrs L
