Oh those summer nights – Isha & Krish
We were thrilled when Isha and Krish chose Nonsuch Mansion for their summer wedding in Surrey last August. The lovely couple and all their guests joined us for their civil ceremony the day after their Tamil Hindu ceremony in London to continue their weekend of wedding celebrations.
Isha’s day began in the pampering suite with her bridal party, the perfect time to pop open some bottles of bubbly and take in the day ahead. Hair and make-up complete and bouquet firmly in her hands, Isha was ready to walk down the aisle.
Their civil ceremony was held in the Orchid room, soft tones of pink lighting accentuated the room’s features and complimented the accents of pink and blue in the natural flower arrangements and pew ends.
The mansion’s homely features are perfect for styling with flowers or personal ornaments.
We love this photo that captures the moment Krish sees his Bride join him at the top of the aisle and Isha is smiling from ear to ear.
Shortly after the ceremony, it’s time for the all important confetti photo. It’s always one of our favourite shots of the day…
The lucky couple and their guests were able to enjoy a fabulous celebratory drinks reception on the formal lawns which were positively basking in the sunshine. Canapés were passed including Sri Lankan chicken skewers in a fresh lime marinade. Enjoyed by guests, small and tall…
Now is the perfect time for the happy couple to sneak away and enjoy the grounds in the company of their wonderful photographer, Ria Mishaal.
After mingling outside, guests are invited to join the newlyweds back inside the mansion for the wedding breakfast. The Orchid room now looked beautiful for the dinner…
A perfect summer dessert, passion fruit jelly, vanilla pannacotta, raspberry sorbet, pineapple wafer, fresh raspberries and edible flowers to garnish!
It was still a perfect summer evening outside so Isha and Krish were able to take advantage of the lovely weather and head back onto the lawn for speeches. It was the perfect setting and the Mansion looked almost magical in an amber colour wash.
Formalities almost over, just the cutting of the cake and the first dance to go…
Later in the evening, a cheese station and sweetie table opened to ensure their guests had enough energy to dance the night away!
Isha and Krish had effortlessly styled the Mansion to perfection and we loved being a part of their special day. We would like to thank both of them and Ria Mishaal for sharing the photos from the day and hopefully offering some inspiration to all the other lovely bride and grooms to be!
