Stilts, Ferns, Vines and… a Triceratops?

Posted by Nonsuch Mansion

Where do we start with Kat and Dan’s wonderful wedding?
Deep rapport and absolute trust is essential in any relationship including the one you have with your wedding suppliers. When both are in abundance, the results speak for themselves!
This is especially true when it comes to your photographer and your florist – in this case Chris Giles and Jay Archer.
Jay Archer’s flower displays were nothing short of spectacular, Jay (true to form) going above and beyond with her talent for unique, memorable and often show stopping modern styling. As Jay says in her blog piece, her brief from Kat and Dan was ” ‘greeny whites, blush pink and peach… rustic luxe, with a bit of birch and moss, ferns and candles but generally, just do your thing’”. Jay translated this into wood stilts as table centre pieces, bouquets of succulents and ferns, trailing vines, leafy letters on the sash windows, candles of every size on every surface… the photos below can do better justice than my words. Take a look.
You can read Jay’s blog piece on the day and learn more about her designs here:

Where do we start with Kat and Dan’s wonderful wedding? Here are over 30 photos as a starting point!

Deep rapport and absolute trust is essential in any relationship including the one you have with your wedding suppliers. When both are in abundance (as they were here) the results speak for themselves! Suppliers really come into their own when given a good amount of creative free reign, especially when it comes to talented photographers and florists like Chris Giles and Jay Archer.

Much like Jay, photographer Chris Giles offers his clients a welcome mix of the traditional with the unexpected. The traditional: the couple bathed in soft sunlight surrounded by smiling friends and family. The unexpected: tiny figures peering from the wedding cake. The traditional: photos of the couple int he walled garden. The unexpected: the entire wedding party being chased by a dinosaur! When we saw this photo we couldn’t stop laughing. It conveys so much about the fun loving nature of the couple.
