Nonsuch Pantry is now… OPEN!

Posted by Nonsuch Mansion

We are delighted to announce that the little cafe next to Nonsuch Mansion has reopened!

The newly refurbished cafe is now called Nonsuch Pantry and will be open from 9.30am until 5.00pm (or dusk if dusk comes sooner). Do pop in for a fresh coffee, cake, icecream and treats or follow us on the new Facebook and Twitter feeds for daily updates.

As well as spending a lot of time and thought on the design and new layout, we have paid special attention to selecting suppliers for Nonsuch Pantry. Here are introductions to a few of them:

Drury Tea & Coffee Company www.drurycoffee.com
– choosing the right tea and coffee was a big decision which is why we literally taste tested hundreds before we chose a supplier.  The coffee we chose is Cuidado Espresso, a slow roasted, fresh tasting, delicious flavour.

Beachdean Farmhouse Dairy Icecream www.beechdean.co.uk
– made from fresh Jersey milk and rich double cream, these icecreams are free from artificial colourings, flavourings or additives, suitable for vegetarians and gluten free.

The Flour Station www.theflourstation.com
– a truly British Bakery who bake multi-award winning, hand-made breads and pastries. The bakery started inside Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant and have recently started supplying select farmers markets and cafes in London and the South East.

Scarlett Bakes www.scarletbakes.co.uk
– a small company run by two mum’s who have a passion for baking. Scarlett Bakes make a range of unique cookie and cake mixes, lovingly layered into glass Kilner jars. The perfect gift for budding bakers.

We are evolving the menu day by day to get the selection that everyone likes the best, so far we have trialed (amoungst other things) eccles cakes, chocolate muffins, Chelsea buns…we are also developing suggestions for healthy fresh made smoothies, organic options and doggie treats so please watch this space!

In the meantime, here are some nice things that some people have said to us so far and a few photos courtesy of The Brinkley Worcester Park Blog.

“… popped into the pantry on Friday for a well needed coffee and must say what a wonderful job you have done. The décor looked fantastic – a really major transformation and the place was very busy with lots of happy people. Everyone we overheard talking were enthusing about it. We will definitely be back for more…” Julia & Steve

“… the café is wonderful! Some of the mums and I visited the park on Friday for a quick play with the children… it looks so beautiful ( and the cakes so tempting!) that we will definitely be paying a visit soon.” Sarah

“…it was interesting to watch people’s first reaction when they walked in, which was normally “Wow”, followed by “WOW” when they saw the main cafe itself.” The Brinkster, Worcester Park Blog

“… Yummy…” Rick
